NEET stands for national eligibility cum entrance test which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CBSE is the conducting authority of NEET entrance exam. It is the only entrance exam conducted on national level for admission to MBBS/BDS/Ayush courses in India. Since 2016 NEET is applicable for all MBBS admission in all government and private medical colleges of India. NEET exam is first step towards medical career. NEET Admit card 2018
CBSE will release admit card by this week on its official website. The NEET hall ticket will be issued to those students who have submitted application form successfully with prescribed application fee.
Candidate can download admit card through NEET official website by entering NEET registration details. You admit card contains information such as roll number, date and time, examination center and important instructions. It is recommended to read all instructions carefully before the commencement of the examination.
NEET 2018 Exam Pattern
The NEET 2018 examination will be conducted on 6th May 2018 through offline mode via pen and paper.
There will be 180 questions to answer. These questions will be objective types containing four options including one correct answer.
Candidates will be reward 4 marks for every correctly attempted question while 1 mark will be deducted on wrong answer.
The duration of examination is three hours.
The medium of question paper will be in 11 languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Oriya, Urdu, Marathi and Telugu.
NEET 2018 Syllabus
The examination is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Examination but the NEET syllabus has been decided by Medical council of India (MCI) as common syllabus. Questions will be asked from topics, physics, chemistry, botony and zoology subjects.
NEET syllabus is based on 11th and 12th standard PCB subjects. Following number of questions will be asked from each section-
NEET Answer Key
The answer key will be published after the NEET examination. Candidates will be able to view download their answer through official website by entering login credentials. Aspirant has opportunity for online challenge against answer but he/she has to pay Rs.1000/- per answer and the payment will be refunded by the board in case challenge got accepted.
The NEET result will be published on its official website on 5th June 2018. Candidate will be able to view result online through official portal. Students will be able to see result by entering login credential such as registration number, roll number and password etc. The merit list will be made on the basis of NEET score.
NEET 2018 Counseling
After the declaration of result and preparation of merit list cut-off will be released by the board. NEET counseling will be organized by MCC (Medical Council Committee of DGHS through online mode.
The counseling is scheduled to be conducted from 12th to 24th June 2018. Candidates can participate in online counseling of NEET as per their rank.
The NEET counseling 2018 will be in various phases. Students need to register online for counseling and pay prescribed counseling fee through online mode. After the registration choice filling window will be opened to select colleges. Candidates can opt as many colleges as he/she want. The allotment will be done on the basis of rank and the allotment result will be published on the website.
If candidate desired college in first round of counseling he/she can confirm the seat by deposing prescribed fee or can participate in another round of NEET counseling.

NEET 2018 eligibility criteria
Candidates are required to check eligibility criteria before applying for NEET 2018 entrance exam. The eligibility criteria has been given below-
- Candidates must be an Indian Citizen. OCIs/NRIs/PIOs/FNs are also eligible to apply for NEET UG.
- Age limit: General category candidates must born between 07.05.1993 to 01.01.2002. All reserved category candidates must born between 07.05.2018 to 01.01.2002.
- Candidates who want to apply for NEET 2018 should have passed 12th or its equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English as compulsory subject.
- Candidates who are appearing in 12th examination, may also apply.
- Requirement of marks in qualifying examination: aspirants should score minimum 50% marks for general, 45% for general PH and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.
NEET 2018 Application Form
The NEET Application form was available from 8th Feb to 12th March 2018. Candidates who have submitted their application form successfully can participate in examination and counseling process for admission to MBBS/BDS program.
